Special Routine — Sorting

Internal · Updated July 2026

What this article covers

How to handle special orders where the customer needs signs sorted in a specific way. The goal is to ensure clear communication between CX, Prepress, and Pack to avoid production delays.

Pricing

  • Extra service fee for additional work time: SEK 395/hour — incorporate into the product price for larger orders if needed.
  • If the Quote Template should be used → use it for calculated price.

Before quoting

  • Ensure the desired file format is confirmed in CX Special Channel before creating the quote.
  • Establish the most efficient workflow to determine additional working time for both CX and production.
  • If any questions → write in the same thread as before in CX Special Channel.
  • If the need of two extra CX eyes → post the finalized quote in CX Special Channel.

Manufacturing

  • Always check extra working days with Pack — do not use standard days without confirming.
  • Add to Slack Special List if the correct criteria are met.

When accepted

  • Add comment under Pack — do not move to Special Flow.

Common sorting examples

Use these as a guide when interpreting customer sorting requests. If the request does not match any of these examples, contact the customer for clarification before production starts.

  • Sorted by name — customer wants signs sorted alphabetically by the name printed on each sign. Common for name badge orders and door sign projects.

  • Sorted by department or location — customer wants signs grouped by department, floor, building, or cost centre. Common for large corporate or facility orders.

  • Sorted by delivery address — customer has multiple locations and wants signs pre-sorted per address so each location receives only their own signs. Always check with Pack for extra working time and calculate with correct shipping cost.

  • Sorted in a specific order matching a list — customer provides a numbered list or spreadsheet and wants signs delivered in exactly that sequence. Always confirm the exact file format and list before quoting.

  • Grouped in sets — customer wants signs grouped in sets of X (e.g. one sign per envelope, one set per employee kit). Confirm packaging requirements with Pack before quoting.

  • Sorted by size or material — customer wants different sizes or materials separated from each other in the delivery. Less common but straightforward to handle.

For any sorting request involving individual packaging, bundling, or delivery to multiple addresses — always check extra working time with Pack and add to the Slack Special List.
