Special Routine — Special Material (Without Set Flow)

What this article covers
How to handle requests for materials where Signmax does not have an established production flow. By default, these are not something we offer — but discussions with production can and should always be initiated when a request comes in.

- Reflective material on other products/materials
- Transparent plastic 0.4 mm
- Corrugated plastic (kanalplast)
- Frosted vinyl
- Double-sided decals
- Other double-sided materials
- Stencil
- Printed name badge in aluminium or other materials
- Colors — testing / extra color (900% print) also falls under this category
Default position
By default, these materials are not something we offer. However, discussions with the production team can and should always be initiated. In such cases, the order value must generally be at least SEK 5,000 or higher. The exact value depends on the situation — for example, a customer may need to pay for all ordered material if we are unsure whether the leftover material can be used for other customers.
If an agreement is reached with production
- A manual calculation must be performed — follow the same structure as special materials with an existing flow.
- Always check manufacturing days with production — do not use the standard +2 days without confirming.
- Always add to Slack Special List.
- If the need of two extra CX eyes → post the finalized quote in CX Special Channel.
Pricing
- Minimum order value: at least SEK 5,000
- Always calculate manually.
- If the Quote Template should be used → use it for calculated price.
When accepted
- Move to Special Flow and add comment under Prepress.
- Ensure the production process is added to the Customer Card so it is carried over to future orders.
- Include an extra note if the customer expects the same design as a previous order.
