Special Routine — Bent Signs

What this article covers

How to handle special orders for bent aluminium signs. Bent signs require manual handling and direct coordination with production through the CX Special Channel.

Pricing

  • Minimum revenue: always SEK 2,000 for the first order.
  • Check extra manufacturing time within CX Special Channel and add SEK 395/hour.
  • Manually calculate the shipping cost by asking Pack for directions — shipping becomes bulky (skrymmande).
  • If the Quote Template should be used → use it for calculated price.
  • Always explain to the customer why the price is higher.

Always provide an alternative

  • Always provide the nearest standard option as an alternative quote alongside the special quote.

Important — print limitations

  • Always inform the customer that we do not print where the bending will occur, as the print will crack.
  • Add the bending angles in the comment on the order.
  • Additionally, provide information on where not to print to prevent the print from cracking.
     
  • No large rounded or chamfered corners on the bent section — straight edges only.
  • If the customer wants a specific bend angle or a "foot" style bend, always request a reference image — angle descriptions alone are not sufficient for production.

Before quoting

  • If any questions → write in the same thread started in CX Special Channel.
  • If the need of two extra CX eyes → post the finalized quote in CX Special Channel.

Manufacturing

  • Always add minimum +2 extra manufacturing days.
  • Note that the package always becomes bulky (skrymmande) — communicate this to Pack.

When accepted

  • Add to Slack Special List if the correct criteria are met.
  • Move to Special Flow and add comment under Prepress.
  • Include an extra note if the customer expects the same design as a previous order.
