What it is
Banners are one of Signmax's flexible large-format sign materials. They are designed for indoor and outdoor use and work well for temporary campaigns, events, and large-scale advertising. Banners are lightweight, easy to transport, and easy to install on walls, facades, fences, ceilings, and event structures.
When to recommend it
Good fit when the customer needs:
- Large-format signage
- Outdoor advertising or event signage
- Temporary or campaign signage
- Hanging or wall-mounted signs
- Lightweight and easy-to-install signage
Not a good fit when the customer needs:
- Rigid signage → recommend Aluminium, Solid PET, or Foam PVC
- Premium hard signage → recommend Acrylic or Aluminium
- Small-format signs → recommend Aluminium, Solid PET, or Foam PVC
- Heavy-duty permanent signage → recommend Aluminium

Banners are flexible and lightweight. The material handles outdoor conditions well and is suitable for short to medium-term outdoor use. Every banner includes eyelets and mounting straps as standard. Because banners are flexible, they are not suitable when the customer needs a rigid or freestanding sign.
Common use cases
- Event signage — lightweight and easy to transport and install on-site. Works well for temporary directional signs, stage backdrops, and sponsor banners.
- Outdoor advertising — suitable for building facades, fences, and outdoor structures. Handles weather well for short to medium-term campaigns.
- Promotional campaigns — cost-effective for large-format campaign material that needs to be replaced regularly.
- Retail campaigns — commonly used for window displays, in-store promotions, and seasonal campaigns where large-format is needed.
- Hanging signs — eyelets and straps included as standard, making installation straightforward for ceiling and wall-mounted applications.
Sustainability
Banners are produced in Germany with a CO2e of 1.71 kg per m² — one of the lowest footprints in the Signmax range. The lightweight material also helps reduce transport-related emissions for large-format signage.
